Hello from New Hampshire

Hello all,

My name is Kevin Green and I'm going to be a new RE investor in the coming year. I read Rich Dad, Poor Dad about 25 years ago and I think I'm finally ready to get started. :-) I've been lurking on the forums, gathering information, and figured it was time to take the plunge and connect.

As for my story, I'm a retired Air Force intel analyst, former youth pastor, and current program manager in Bedford, MA. I currently live in Southern NH where I love spending time with my family doing all sorts of indoor and outdoor activities. My kids are older and are either out of the house or graduating in the next year so I figured I needed a hobby. I've always been interested in the idea of real estate investing but never pulled the trigger due to one excuse or another. I love the idea that my wife and I could have the option of retiring early and traveling within 10 years with REI instead of waiting another 20 to retire when the government says I should.

I am finally in a financial and knowledge level place to make wise decisions on RE investing and BP has played a huge part in that. I've been absorbing the various books suggested on the site and constantly reading blog posts. I've also been listening to the BP podcast non-stop, during my commute, since I found it a month or so ago. I'm planning on buying my first SFH or MFH in the next year somewhere in the South or Midwest where the price barrier to entry is a little lower than the Northeast. David Greene's book on long distance real estate investing has been crucial in empowering me to know it is possible.

I look forward to connecting on the BP forums and being a contributor wherever I can. I will definitely need to stay focused on this because as an ahem, more experience person in life, I'm more comfortable to connecting and developing relationships face to face as opposed to online.

Kevin
