New Milwaukee area investor

Hi all!

My name is Anthony Vaiana and I am a new investor in Milwaukee WI. Actually closing on my first property this Friday (Duplex in which I am house hacking). My day job is an auto damage appraiser for an insurance company. My goals in real estate are to attain financial freedom through rental properties.

I heard of BP through random google searches for general questions I’ve had. Started browsing around the forum, reading guides, blogs, and recently switched my daily podcasts from listening to Joe Rogan to Bigger Pockets.

I'm pretty fixated on going the BRRRR route for my next property, and trying to learn as much as I can here. As well as connect and network with other BP members local, and nationwide!

Welcome to BP @Anthony Vaiana! You are on the right track - house hacking is one of the best ways to get started, it makes good financial sense and helps you to acquire some landlording and property management experience with very little risk. BRRRR (or BARRRR) are excellent ways to grow your portfolio and you could do that with your next duplex as well. Good luck for your closing and we will see you around!
