Moving to Greensboro, NC from Sweden - what to know about renting
Hi everyone!
Me and my wife are moving to Greensboro, NC for 12-24 months since i have got a job there in engineering.
Honestly i agree that this is a bit weird to ask about this here, but i have listened to sooo many BP episodes that I have gotten the feeling that everyone is friendly and helpful here in the forums :)
From basic googling we have found apartmentlist.com and other sites pretty soon directing us to apartment complexes for rent. We are looking for a 1-bedroom apartment and they seem to be priced around 750-950 + utilities.
Since this kind of setups are new to us my first question is, is this usually nice places to live?
How would you smart guys go about it? I dont think i want to buy a house hack at once...
Cheers!

Greetings Benjamin and congrats on your new job!
$750-$800 will land you a solid apartment in Greensboro, you will have to shop around though as the areas in Greensboro are quite mixed! Neighborhoods weave in and out of each other and so one street might be great to live on whereas another street might not be so great to live in. That being said the quality of apartment you are going to get in Greensboro for $750 is pretty good.
