Newbie from San Antonio, Texas but living in Germany, Europe

Hello BP World!

My name is Brian Shannon and I am new to real estate investing.  I was told about the BP podcast by a friend and I was hooked.  I have never bought property but I've been a long time saver and have built up a healthy runway.  It's time to put that war chest to work!

I'm living abroad in Germany but want to apply David Greene's long distance real estate investing strategies into buying my first property.  I'm interested in multi-family homes but haven't been able to figure out how to decide where in the US to start.  Being from San Antonio with family there, I think that's a good place but have no idea.  I'll take any advice on how to decide where to invest.

I'm excited to join the community and thank you in advance for your replies!
