Columbus, Ohio - Rookie Checking In

Hey all,

Born and raised just outside of Dayton, Ohio - I've been a Buckeye all my life. I finally landed in Columbus in 2016 when I took a job in the City's Finance Department. Having secured a (relatively) cheap condo to rent, I've worked and saved the past few years, and am poised to have all of my student loans paid off in March - which was my primary goal prior to jumping into real estate investing. With that milestone approaching, I've been spending more and more time gathering as much REI information as I can get my hands on - which is ultimately how I stumbled upon the BP site.

My current goal is to find a duplex, tri, or quad to 'house hack' as my first investment property, ideally in one of our B-class areas. The plan is save what I was spending on rent, and continue saving money as if I were still paying down the student loans, and just roll this cash into more deals. If anyone has had good experiences with local lenders or agents, please let me know. Looking forward to continuing to learn & grow with you all.

Best,

 - Josh
