Hey Biggerpockets!

I just joined this community and I'm very excited to begin my journey to financial freedom. I've done a lot of research in the form of books, podcasts, and now this very forum. I wanted to ask if there were any beginner advice you would give someone in their early 20's within the Chicago IL area that's looking to start in purchasing properties and renting them out for cashflow. I also wanted to ask if there are any meet ups or places I can socials and network in this area that you would recommend. Or if anyone would like to reach out to me from this website, I'd appreciate that too. Thanks for all the help!

@Shan Slote - First step is getting preapproved.  Your budget will determine what kind of property you can buy and in what neighborhood.  Also check out the events link for the various meetups https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/521-events-an...
