New Guy from Kansas City

Hey guys. I graduated from college in May with a degree in psychology and also commissioned as an officer in the Kansas Army National Guard. I am currently in the Aeromedical Evacuation Officer pipeline. This means I will be moving to Enterprise, Alabama in January 2019 for about 18 months for flight school. However, after I am finished I will move back to the Kansas City area and work part time for the military. I love flying. I currently have a private pilot fixed-wing license (airplanes) that I completed this past summer. As well, the training I will receive down in Alabama will result in me obtaining a rotary license (helicopter). I have aspirations of flying for the airlines someday, but I also have aspirations of developing a RE portfolio that produces around 10k a month so I can have a FI lifestyle and live out some of my other dreams. For the last several months I have been listening to the BP podcast, have read a couple investing books, and ultimately I am trying to absorb as much information as possible. My mind is open to all opportunities at this point. I am just trying to educate myself as much as possible so when a good opportunity arrises, I can pull the trigger and feel confident. If there are any KC area folks reading this, feel free/please reach out to me. I'm eager to learn and talk to others that are investing in my neck of the woods.
