Investing in small multi-family apartment buildings in Cincinnati
Hi, I live in Los Angeles. The properties in my backyard are too expensive and the returns are too low. So I've been thinking about investing out of state.
I've researched jobs, economies, real estate returns across major metropolitan areas in the country, and finally set my eyes on Cincinnati. It seems a nice, robost city that offers job opportunities, quality of living, and decent real estate returns.
Since I'm far away and not familiar with the local market. I'd really appreciate any insights on small apartment building investing in Cincinnati area:
- Which are the best neighborhoods for small apartments (safe, close to amenities, good schools and work, good cap rate, etc.)
- Any recommendations on great real estate agents/brokers and property managers? (Since I'm out of state, I'll rely heavily on a great local team).
- What should I watch out for (I'm aware of my own confirmation bias so I'd greatly value if you can point out the negatives).
Appreciate your suggestions, and thank you in advance.
Best,
Jing
