Hey Everyone!
My name is Niel and I am from South Bend, IN. I live about 5 minutes from the Notre Dame Campus. I'm 28 years old and have been interested in real estate since I was young. I work full time as a supervisor right now. I have my RE license and have been involved in about a dozen flips in the past year and a half. My role in the partnership has been to do all the legwork (project manager and accountant) and over this time I have learned the ins and outs. I have been reading the BP forums for about 6 months but this is my first post. I have learned a lot from you all(Thank you!) and am really excited to be part of a community that shares the same interests as I do. I have been fortunate in finding a mentor in my area but he is in the process of wanting to slow down on the investing. My goals include becoming a consistent fix and flip investor and to build a great reputation in my area for doing the right things.
Right now I am raising capital and trying to transition from flipping one property at a time to multiple 8).
Thank you all for listening and I hope to talk with all of you in the coming months!

Welcome Neil.
Sounds like your building some valuable experience. Glad that you found someone that understands what it takes to flip properties.
I'm always glad to hear about younger people getting started in RE. You will have many years to learn the ins and outs and can have the opportunity to build a nice nest egg.

Hey and welcome to BiggerPockets, Niel! I'm glad to see you come out of the shadows to post after 6 months lurking.
I wonder if you'd be able to tell me what you think may have incentivized you to jump in and post/participate sooner?
thanks Josh,
I am more of the do your due diligence before jumping into anything so it was definitely nothing against BP. I now feel like I know a lot of you by your posts and how genuine you all are. I am still very much in the learning stage but i will help others when possible and I look forward to becoming more social on here in the future!
I'm also 28 and not too far from South Bend. Looks like you're doing big things. Keep it up!
Welcome, Neil!
We're only a hour away in Kalamazoo, and we've spent a lot of time in So, Bend. I created and managed the U93 RoofSit to Stop Child Abuse for several years....and am proud to say raised over $2 million for the area child abuse prevention programs. South Bend is a great community. Very generous. Now my husband and I do nationwide short sales, and also fix and flips in our area. Best of luck to you. I'll look forward to your posts.
