Any Advice On How To Build Relationships And Forming A Team?

Hello again Bigger Pockets community! I am in the infant stage of my real estate career. I've been reading all I can, listening to podcasts, practicing analyzing deals, and actively looking for actionable steps that I can take to keep the ball rolling. I have come to the point where I'm beginning to realize that real estate is not a one-man sport. Relationships are vital and I am wondering how to develop the relationships that I'll need going forward. In one of the podcasts I listened to the other day, I think it was Brandon turner who suggested I try to offer value to somebody to begin that process. Does anybody have any suggestions on how exactly to do that? Do I call up a real estate agent and say "Hey I'd like to build a relationship with you, how can I be of service?" Or a contractor and say " Hey I'd like to learn as much as possible about home renovations, can I pay you 100$ to shadow you around in a project a few times?" I want to get my feet wet, I think I'm just naturally a shy person and thought of building relationships from scratch seems kind of daunting to me. Any help is greatly greatly appreciated, Thank you all!
