RE Agent and New Investor from Richmond, Va
Hi BP - I am a Real Estate agent and new investor from Richmond,Va. My goals is to make money in Real Estate :) ...to broad? I'm hoping to use the BRRR strategy to build a passive income stream but would like to diversify so fix and flips are also on my radar.
I am excited about starting this journey and would love to connect with likeminded people in the area to share ideas, strategies and even a helping hand where needed!
I have a small amount of real estate investing experience to build off of. I flipped a townhouse in the Dallas area in my 20's and currently help my family run a few airbnb's/rental properties. I am ready to scale by constructing creative formulas for finding deals and create systems to streamline the processes.
I'm looking for contractors, property managers, lenders, and any other partnership to add to our toolbox. We'd love to partner with you...win-win partnership are always the goal!
I have 2 Duplexes in Richmond that I purchased. One in 2017 and another in 2018. Let me know if I can be of any help to you in regards to sharing my network of professionals with you.
Hi Andria! I am also in Richmond and looking to start out in RE investment. I currently work for a commercial appraisal company where we specialize in multifamily properties. I also got my RE license in January. I am hoping my work experience and license will help me out with investing. I am looking to connect with other locals to chat about RE investing. If you're interested in meeting up, message me! I'd love to connect. Also, I'm from Dallas originally so I'd love to hear about your experience flipping the townhouse there.
Hey @Andria Kobylinski welcome to Texas! The real estate market here has been exploding and its a great time to start adding properties to your portfolio.
Of course, there are a lot of different pockets that are "hot" in the area, and I have been with a team doing about 70 investment deals each month for about a year now. If you have any questions about the market or are looking for deals, please do not hesitate to reach out!
HI im a newbie looking for financial freedom i bought my first little property its a start and reading and learning love real state
Hey @Marshall Fairley & @Logan Gerard, though I did my first flip in DFW, I am currently in the Richmond Va market. I would be interested in deals in that market as I am rather familiar with the area. If you have any smaller buy and hold properties in the Dallas market that you believe could cash flow WITH property management built in send it my way!
Richmond has three REIA groups through meetup to join to meet other investors for networking. Richmond multifamily, REIA and RING. All are great groups. meetup.com
@Marvin Franz thank you, I have been to the REIA meeting, I will check out the other two!
@Andria Kobylinski, I really recommend RING. They do a great job at their meetings of getting into the meat and potatoes of investing. Lots of good people to learn from.
@Daniel Harnsberger thanks, where do I find info on RING. Didn't find it when I googled.
@Andria Kobylinski Hi Andria! I have been working a W-2 in real estate since 2015 and I currently work in downtown Richmond for a housing agency and live in Hanover. I look for deals primarily in Hanover but I am open to Henrico and Richmond as well. I'd love to hear about how being an agent is in Richmond. I was working with an agent for about a year but I just recently ended things because we weren't clicking after a few contracts fell through (I think next time I need to work with a more investor-oriented agent). Feel free to reach out to grab coffee and chat real estate one day!
Welcome @Andria Kobylinski, (although a month late!) I wanted to jump in and say hi here and also connect/reconnect with few folks who posted here ( @Daniel Harnsberger we should catch up again soon!).
@Andria Kobylinski sounds like you're in a fantastic position being agent while digging into RE for your personal investment. I know you're also in search of contractors and would love to hear who worked out for you and who didn't. I also have a small network of decent contractors I can share with you (DM for those)!
@Jana Corbitt if we can ever figure out a good time to catch up, happy to share with you of my experience so far. Definitely not as glamours as I was an accidental landlord. Like Andria, I think you're in an awesome position to start as you're already in the industry.
@Chinmay J. your current post about that tenant is crazy. I am following it to see how it is going to turn out! Definitely would love to catch up in person as well to share our RE experiences.
See you folks around!
