Hello team!

My name is Allan. I'm new to investing but I do have some real estate experience. I own one rental, previously managed it myself, and I was a licensed real estate agent in Texas for a few years. I really enjoyed real estate ever since. While residential sales was a great experience I am interested in pivoting to investing (single family or small multi-family properties). I don't want to repeat everything in my profile but I'm looking at several markets in Texas, Maine, New Hampshire, and Kentucky.

Currently I'm active duty Military working in a medical administrative field. I enjoy what I do but I know I won't be in the service forever. Investing will bring me passive income in the short term and financial independence in the long term. Both will allow me to spend more time with my family and have the financial freedom so many dream about. I also have a desire to give back to the communities I've lived in and to pay it forward to others in general. What good is all the money in the world if you're not using some of it to bless others?

I found BP after listening to another podcast about real estate investing. The amount of information on this site is unbelievable. I'm really looking forward to taking full advantage of everything here. That includes networking with other members. In the beginning I'm sure I'll be the one asking all the questions but in time I hope to be able to share what I've learned with others. Team work makes the dream work!

Where in Maine are you looking? What draws you to Maine? I am a Realtor, investor, and developer in Southern Maine and would be happy to discuss this market and my experiences in it. There is still great opportunity in this state and I am always happy to hear other investors see that too.
