Newbie ( in over my head? )from NE Ohio
Good morning fellow real estate lovers, my name is Spencer, I'm from northeast Ohio, about an hour east of Cleveland. Go browns! (Kidding). I'm a college student going for graphic/web design and business, and always been interested in real estate. I love how tangible of an investment real estate is and have wanted to flip houses since high school. I love the idea of passive rental income and the BRRRR approach. I'm very interested in single family homes, although multi family has also become attractive since listing to the BP podcast.
After years of wanting and looking, I finally took the plunge this summer and bought a foreclosure in a small but growing (if only a little) town. I can give the numbers and specs if anyone is interested but it’s a simple 3bd 2bth on a couple acres. Im loving the Reno process and I was fairly stress free until last month when my realtor asked to show me another house.
Long story short I ended up with a larger loan, and plan to have a contractor do all the work on the second house and simply flip it for some profit, but mostly experience. I kind of dove straight into this in the past few months, now wondering if I’m capable of doing this and questioning whether I know what I’m doing along the way. I’ve poured hours and hours into reading BP and podcasts and have just started into real estate and business book for nightly relaxation. Although I’m absolutely loving every second of this and have learned an incredible amount from BP and experience so far, I’m looking for a community to get involved with on the forums and hopefully more experienced investors to share any insight or knowledge to a complete newbie.
I know this has been a crazy long post, I have a bad habit of long introductions, just wanted to join in the fun and learning. I hope everyone is doing great and I’m very excited to be here and can’t wait to get more involved!
