Newbie investor in Florida

Hey BP community! As with most newbies, I have thrown myself into BP’s forums, webinars, and any and all books I can get my hands on. I feel like a college student who is ready to put their studies and knowledge into action! While the entire REI industry excites me, I am deciding to jump into the buy and hold/rental income segment 1st My story- I currently live in Orlando Florida, and intend on purchasing my first few properties in the state, targeting Central and North Florida Areas. I want to focus my efforts around colleges and new distribution centers/manufacturing hubs in the area. My current full time career gives me a ton of flexibility and time to research, and visit properties throughout the state. I would love to connect with, and get some insight from anyone who is currently active in the central and north Florida areas. Any suggestions on meet ups in the area, or other networking opportunities? Also, I am always down for a good old fashion coffee or lunch connection with like minded individuals. And for those who wouldn’t mind an adult beverage while networking, I will always be happy to buy rounds of ice cold Heinekens! (current career plug!
