Hi biggerpockets community!! My name is Orlando De Los Santos, I am 23 years old. I was born in Dominican Republic. I came to the United States at the age of 14 to finish school and get my college education. I served in the Marines Corps, and I am currently a Business Consultant for a consulting firm based of off saddle brook, NJ. What sparked my interest in real state was its ability to build long term wealth if done correctly. In addition to using that as a stepping stone to build and create a foundation that is self funded through the real state investments. I do not have any previous experience in real state, and I am inclining towards getting my real state license just to educate myself better and to start on the right foot on my investment journey.

Have you chosen any niches that you want to focus on ? fix-n-flip,multi families, wholesale? There is no better way to learn the nuts and bolts of how an industry operates than to jump into that industry and work in a professional position. This site has ALL of the info you will ever want to read about every facet of real estate investing. I set a goal for myself (also a 0 experience future investor) to come here every night and read at least 1 article and take notes. I have been here for almost a week now and i have gained soooo much knowlege. This place is heaven to me right now, i love it. Don't hesitate to reach out to people who intrest you, or people from your area who are in the game... everyone here is super nice and more than willing to engage in conversation and answer questions.
