My family and I have recently relocated to the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill area of NC after working the first 15 years of my career in Silicon Valley, Ca. I am a new real estate investor looking to participate in the area's growth. I have done a lot of reading, watching, podcasting, etc. up to this point and am looking to take action and get in the game.  I am currently a Finance Executive at a Fortune 500 company, so I get numbers...now I just need to get some real world exposure to investment Real Estate and the local market.

My initial goals are to get a baseline knowledge of the local market so that I can feel comfortable enough knowing that we are making a good investment.  I would be looking to start in single family homes, town-homes, or duplexes.  If the opportunity was worthwhile, I would consider smaller commercial properties as well, though the preference would be to get some base hits with the smaller properties first.  Along the way, I am also looking to develop a network of professionals to be able to grow with and share ideas.

The family and I love the Triangle area for the balance of work, play, nature, culture, sports, and the overall warmth of the community.  Looking forward to meting the rest of the Bigger Pockets community in the area.
