Last year I read a book maybe you reading this have as well and if not I recommend it. Its called Rich dad Poor dad. This book literally changed my life not to tell too much of it,but I learned about financial freedom. I have had a full time for 5yrs you know the typical 9 to 5,and although im blessed and thankful to have a job i just wanted to do something different create a form of passive income on the side I decided REI was the best option for me. I started going to open houses talking to realtors, they would proceed to ask me that magic question Am I Pre-Qualified? with my recent bankruptcy and my credit in the rebuilding stage a bank wouldnt touch me. Im obviously summarizing here but i eventually landed here on BP,and in the past 5 days Ive learned more than I ever have. Watching old videos listening to old podcasts starting discussions so on and so forth. In the past 5 days I have gained a mentor, and just recently despite my Bankruptcy situation a Private lender reached out to me and basically said if a deal is a good enough they might give it a shot. Hey thats a hell of alot better than the rejection i been getting. Even the advice you get in the discussion forum is good advice.... there are a few rude people but hey the good out weighs the bad........In conclusion Never give up and the golden Never say this wont work ask yourself how can I make this work . I will be watching cheering you other Newbies on,But for now I have to go hunt down a good deal Best of wishes God Speed.

P.S.   Take Notes

Great attitude @Dante Foreman .  Another thing to consider, if you invest in syndicated deals as a limited partner (passive investor) neither your credit score or financial history come into play.  Once you can show that you're a sophisticated investor and have the money to safely invest, you can invest in many offerings.  You don't 'control' the deal, but you're 'in real estate.'  Just another of (many many many) opportunities out there that you can think about.
