Hi Everyone

My name is Timothy and I live in New Zealand. I have limited experience but am interested in learning. I am currently looking to do a house hack in Christchurch. My aim is to build up a portflio of buy and hold investments to generate a passive income stream. I am not sure whether I will focus on residential or commercial properties or both at this stage. The markets I am considering are Christchurch and Auckland.

Welcome to BP Timothy Shue can I suggest you try to contact Billy Mclachlan and take him out for coffee or lunch. Billy is based in chch.

You mentioned that you are considering residential vs commercial- do you know the difference?
Are you able to borrow money from the banks these days?
