Hello everyone. I'm Marvin Bonner and I am highly interested in starting real estate investing. I am a food inspector working on a graveyard shift and looking to invest part time initially. I feel my availability during most business hours will help me find deals by driving the neighborhood. I am reading many books and saving! My goals for 2018 are to: continue saving for down payments, flip one house, and/or acquire one property this year with a cash flow of at least $300. My cousin is a contractor and has committed to helping me with repairs and upgrades and maybe even become a partner on some flips. Any help, insight or tips from investors or realtors is greatly appreciated!

Hey Marvin, nice to have you in the area and looking to invest!

Myself and @Stephen E. host a real estate investors meeting here in New Bern at the Chamber of Commerce on every second Thursday of the month from 6:00-8:00 pm

We are called the East Carolina Real Estate Investors Association or ECREIA and we would love to have you out. I also work on a sales team and am a very active investor myself and we have a team member who specializes in Kinston specifically and who is also moving in the investing direction.

I would love to connect the two of you, just send me a private message and I can get you his info.

Trey
