Newbie living between Nevada City, California & Ogden Utah

Hey BP community.

I'm thrilled to participate. I'm Lauren, from Australia and new to real estate in the USA. I am an Exercise Physiologist by day but I've been obsessed with the idea of going into real estate for over 12 months now and have decided to take the leap this year by getting my broker license.

I live in Nevada City California but I own a property in Ogden Utah where I've spent time. I'm interested in developing relationships and learning the ropes. Wholesaling has sparked an interest for me and I also am a landlord who enjoys the DIY (with my contractor husband).

Over time I would like to do a few flips and acquire some multi-families both in Utah and California. My personal goal is to be able to help others make decisions they are happy with, moving towards their own security and wealth development.

I came to join the BP community after listening to my favourite BP podcasts (ehem @Scott Trench) for the umpteenth time and just going "F**k it" I need to make this happen.

Looking forward to seeing you all around the traps. I'm stoked for 2018 and ready to work.

Lauren

Lauren  target areas for doing deals IE distressed real estate is going to be Marysville Yuba city and around the Beale air base just to the WEst... also there is a little pocket of homes ( I worked as the development coordinator on it in the late 80's right on Hammaton smartsville road.. I bet you can find a few fixers there.. I also was on the development team that platted Phase 5 of Wildwood  120 lots in 1989.. and I know wildwood is probably ripe with some dated inventory.. but not quite as distressed as Marysville/Yuba city

and of course if your really into it you can buy an old turn of the century there in Nevada city and return it to their former glory.. Also if you have not Ventured up HWY 49 to Downieville and Seirra city those are worth a look especially for an Air Bnb  there was a foreclosure in Downnieville I saw today that I was thinking of buying..

Love that Seirra buttes area..

Anyway enjoy above the fog and below the snow living nice part of the world..
