Aloha all !

My name is Billy and I am have become very interested in getting involved in real estate investing over the last year. I joined BP a few months ago but did not pursue making the most out of it so this is my go at it! Currently my goal is to gain experience while supplementing my current income. I work 40 hours a week currently and would be pursuing this as a side business in my free time. Eventually I would love to replace and increase my income, achieving financial freedom.

I thoroughly enjoy talking about and learning about real estate investing and personal finance and would love to meet and network with similar minded investors on this site.

I moved to Oahu over a year ago and have been intimidated by the extremely high prices of real estate. This made me think that getting into wholesaling in this market may be a more cost effective way to gain some experience and start to grow a network. I also do not plan on being in the islands forever so it could also help me build a nest egg to start investing with when I move back to the mainland some day.

Lastly, I thought that it may be a good idea to study for a real estate exam and get my license to gain some additional knowledge even if I did not actively practice as an agent.  HAs anyone done this to learn more or have an opinion on this approach?

Mahalo nui loa for reading my post and commenting. Looking forward to journey ahead!

Billy
