Harry from Tokyo new to BP

Hello all,  Harry from Tokyo here and as I have just recently started listening to the BP podcasts (love them btw), I decided I should reach out and introduce myself.  I'm a 31-year-old American guy living and working in Tokyo as a Consultant/Headhunter for the automotive industry.  My parents and some of my family own 1 or 2 rental properties, and it is something I have always wanted to get into. I haven't done any deals to date but really looking forward to being part of this awesome community so thanks in advance for the advice and tips!

Hey @Harold Petty - welcome to BP. I'm also in Tokyo, as are a handful of other BPers who will likely reach out to you as well.

I'd be happy to connect and catch up for coffee or a beer and talk real estate. There is also a monthly BP meet-up (3rd Thursday of the month), which you can find if you search the forums.  Although the content will vary greatly based on who attends any particular month, I like the meet-up as it's a chance to share ideas and experiences. But opinions differ, and I know some BPers find the Tokyo meet-ups less than useful.

To-date I've only invested in deals here in Japan, but like you I'm looking to start in the US as well.
