Looking for guidance (Chicago, IL area)

Hello BiggerPockets community!

I am looking to branch out and surround myself with likeminded people or even find a partner to work with.

A little bit about myself:

I live 1 hour outside of Chicago in Aurora IL

The last decade I worked in the Steel industry and the last 5 of that was in upper management. I recently left that all behind to follow a new exciting path in real-estate.

My goals are:

Flip enough property's to have the money to purchase a house to live in and a second to continue flipping. Once I have enough under my belt I would like to branch out into rentals. End goal would be to live in a house I purchased and renovated from a foreclosure (little to no mortgage) and have a few rentals to have as passive income.

I have access to a real-estate attorney and a contractor that I trust. I have been sitting in on a few sheriff auctions and watched plenty of the bigger pockets videos.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
