I've heard good things about the forums here, and I'm trying to achieve my goal of financial independence by age 35 through real estate, so I thought I should finally sign up.

I own our current residence, plus a single family rental. Currently working on the remodel of the house we're in now. Goal is to make the basement into a separate living space that we can either rent to college kids or airbnb.

I'm handy at pretty much anything, and I do handyman/property maintenance for work right now, but it's not really something I enjoy (even though I'm good at it). I don't know what I would do instead, though-- I don't have a "passion" or a specific industry that I want to get in.


Anyway, I'm sure I'll learn some things here, so I'll see y'all around.

Welcome to BP. I had been meaning to visit an Uncle of mine in Colorado Springs for years and finally did this past summer. My wife and I fell in love with the area and are considering it as a potential move for when I retire from the military!
