Beginner Investor in Palm Springs, CA - Flips & Rentals
Hi BP community!
My name is Sean in Palm Springs, CA, and I'm brand new to investing. I've been interested in real estate since 1999, but never had the info, direction, money, nor time to invest... story of my life, still to this day. Anyway, I have a wonderful wife and two children, and I'm looking for a better life for all of us. I'm almost 50 years old, working 2 jobs, 6 days a week (was 7), and I'm getting tired of getting no where in life. I've always loved real estate, and know this is the way to go. I'm very detailed oriented, which is why it takes me so long to get started in anything as I feel I have to know everything first, to avoid all the mistakes. Anyway, i want financial wealth and freedom for my family. I work just make ends meet. We have no money saved up, and our credit isn't that great, but we're still hopeful of change. I'm hungry to be on top, just don't know the actual steps. I've read some books, and watched tons of YouTube and BiggerPockets videos. I'm also studying for my real estate license. I would love to talk to all of you out there that have been where I have. I know I need to do creative financing. I would like to flip some real estate, and build up enough to start renting. I'm really anxious and excited to get started, but don't know exactly what to do first. I keep hearing 'take action', but I don't want to make a mistake. I don't yet know how to analyze the numbers for a deal, or the legal docs involved. Any advice or support would be appreciated. I want to thank BiggerPockets for their website, and this opportunity to communicate with others that love real estate. Thank You All!
I look forward to doing more on this site.
