Aspiring RE Investor from Honolulu, Hawaii

Hello BiggerPockets World! My name is Brandon Nahale, and I'm from Honolulu, Hawaii.  My wife, Stacey, and I are very recently married (October 7, 2017), and we're looking to put long term buy and hold real estate investing at the forefront of our investing portfolio.  Between us, we do have 3 rental properties here on Oahu, but it a tough go of things as the prices in Hawaii are so incredibly high!! We currently have some equity, but we do have some negative cash flow.  With that being said, we're looking to start investing in real estate elsewhere, and we're currently brainstorming as to good places to start.  We're interested in starting out with single family homes or small multifamily properties and seeing where it goes from there. We don't have any experience rehabbing properties, and we're ambitiously cautious about investing out of state.  Other than that, we can't wait to get started. We're excited to meet like-minded people, as well as industry professionals. Thanks and we look forward to meeting you!
