Post: Reverse 1031 Exchange

Hi BPer's!!

I'm thinking about doing a reverse 1031 exchange, since we have a little cash saved, and we have an investment property that will probably sell very quickly in this market.  My question is at what point do we need to declare for the 1031 exchange? Can we get the replacement property under contract first or do we need to go to an qualified intermediary first?

Hello BP! Can anybody familiar with Cincinnati share any information on the Westwood area. I’ve seen a lot of crime and shooting reports there, but I’m not sure what to make of the area as I’m not local to the area. It seems as if the citizens and the police department are making strong improvements to improve safety. Is it generally safe with security cameras? We’re looking at a multifamily building there. Thanks!

@Todd Kalsey I see. Thanks for the info! I'm looking to buy my first multifamily in Cincinnati, and I wasn't sure what would work and what would not.  I'll let you know if I find anything.
