Yoga Teacher Entering RE Investing in Austin, TX

Hi BP! Very excited to have come across this community and network of resources. I'm devouring the podcast.

I'm a yoga student and teacher by trade and passion, with a background in marketing and advertising (first in the corporate setting, and more recently as a freelancer/entrepreneur).

I've lived in Austin, TX for the past 2 years, but my partner and I have minimized down to a suitcase and backpack each so that we can do travel the world as nomadic yoga teachers. We're planning to plant our roots in Brooklyn next, but will continue to take extended teaching tours off and on.

RE-wise, I'm most interested in generating cashflow through rental income. I'm looking into 1) buying-and-holding multifamily properties and 2) constructing tiny houses. I got my appetite whetted for RE when I put our own house (which we were renting) on Airbnb and seeing the power of STRs firsthand.

Even though Austin has already appreciated quite a bit, I think it's still a great market to get into for STRs and even traditional rental properties.

Looking forward to connecting with other like-minded real estate go-getters!
