Looking for my first property- Hud Homes Or MLS
Hi everyone
I am a newbie investor looking to house hack a duplex or triplex in Philadelphia. I know it always comes down to the numbers on a property but I want to know from experienced investors (being you) would you suggest I should focus more into going the hud home or home path route... or the basic mls route... being as tho I’m going to be owner occupant I know that I have a window before investors can even get involve with hud properties... verses mls where everybody got they eyes on the deal?

Hi James! I just closed on a HUD duplex in South Jersey (right outside of Philly) at the end of May and am house hacking as well. I've been writing all about the process. I'll DM you the link.
My question is, why focus on one over the other? You can find good deals on both the MLS and through HUD/Homepath so I'd so don't limit your options.
I went through HUD and took advantage of the owner occupant period and benefited really well.
