Military newbie looking to invest in Indianapolis

Hi, I'm Erik Keim from Casper WY, and a graduate of The University of Wyoming and The Naval Postgraduate School. I'm currently an active duty Marine with 14 years of service. I have used two VA secured loans to purchase houses in North Carolina and Northern Virginia. Unfortunately I am just now beginning my real estate education, so neither of these properties were good long term investments.

I currently live in the National Capital Region (NCR), but I don't feel conformable investing in this high priced market. I have visited Indianapolis in the past (was almost stationed there in 2015) and think it would be a good market for me. I want to use the BRRRR strategy to develop my portfolio, but I need to expand my knowledge of the market before can dive in with my first property.

I look forward to meeting and working with the BP community.
