New to the Bigger Pockets Community - Introduction

Hello Bigger Pockets Nation!

All I can say is "wow!" I have been absolutely blown away with the wealth of information that BP has to offer. In the last week and a half, I have listened to 37 Podcasts, read countless articles, and purchased a few books recommended by many on the site!

A little about me: I am a 25 year old guy, happily married to a beautiful woman who just bore me my first child a little over two weeks ago. I have always had a level head on my shoulders when dealing with finances, and have always dreamt about investing one day, but having a child really kicked me into gear and made me decide that I needed to start moving. Our investing goal is to, one day, be financially independent and be able to quit my W2 job and become a full-fledged real estate investor, but we recognize that riches are not made over night and are hoping to cut our teeth on our first deal before the 2017 year is through.

My background is in construction and my wife is a work horse in her own right, so we are planning on doing most of whatever work is necessary to get started. We live in the Seattle Metro and are looking in that market, but it is currently way over-valued, so we are looking elsewhere as well.

I am so excited to be a part of the bigger pockets community!!
