Newbie from PH county Maryland

Hey Biggerpockets! My Name is Jocaro Dodd. I have an engineering degree and have worked in the MEP industry for about 4 years. I have some construction experience, but zero real estate experience. My wife and I watch HGTV almost everyday and finally one day I asked myself why am I sitting on the couch watching these shows when I can be doing it? I started my research and I reconnected with an old friend in the Richmond area (that is currently fixing and flipping) who suggested I visit BiggerPockets for more information. Long story short, I recently got a mentor that suggested I start with wholesaling to get some cash and understanding of the business. My first yellow letters should be going out on Monday. I'm really excited about this! I haven't been this excited about something in a while. For me, getting an opportunity to flip houses would be a dream come true. I've wanted to do it since high school. Don't know what took so long to get started. Smh.
