Hello everyone! My name is Keith and I'm new to the REI world. I'm looking to get my feet wet in this incredible industry. In short, I've had a respectable career as a medical professional, but I'm ready for a new challenge. REI piques my interest and seems rewarding both mentally and financially. I currently have a primary residence and a cash-flowing condo. My experience is limited to buying primary residence, fixing or finishing them. I've always enjoyed working with my hands. However, one of BP's hosts or guests pondered the question. Are you a real estate investor or a contractor?

With a tip from a friend and a company who's name I shouldn't mention here, I formed a SDIRA. I'm ready to leverage my assets and entrepreneurial skills in REI. I've spent the last few months researching strategies through books, blogs, podcasts and webinars. WOW! So much information and so much more to learn.

I believe the strategies best suited for me are the Fix and Flip and the BRRR models. Although I may participate in lending until I gain more experience to find and negotiate my own deals. My goal is to build a Passive income of about $6,000 per month. I'ld like to start in SFR and transition to Multi-Family over time. I hope to write back soon about my first success. Wish me luck!

Thanks everyone at BP for a great community with a wealth of knowledge and experience.  I hope to contribute useful information myself someday.

KLP

@Keith Persicke  Keep up the hustle.  I transitioned from my job to RE this year and it has been challenging, but the hard work is starting to pay off.  Keep up the hustle.  I did the same thing my first few months, read lots of books, consumed all the podcasts I could, networked, etc.

There is a REI tomorrow (Thursday 26th) @ KW Spokane. 799 S Stevens. I believe it starts at 6:30 pm. It is in the conference hall (N Side of the building, Lowest level). Looking forward to meeting you, and seeing how you develop your REI.
