Hi Everybody!
My name is Benjamin Lin and I am new to the world of real estate investing. I am in my mid-30s, and started learning about investing about 6 months ago. I started with reading the BiggerPockets forums, and have since been reading tons of real estate books and listening to the podcasts on my daily commute. I've decided that I want to focus on fix/rehab and flip in this very competitive Southern California market. So far, I've been having fun practicing deal analysis and looking at comps for listings through Zillow, Trulia and Redfin. Now it's time to take the next step. My plan is to start participating actively on BP and attending some REIAs in the area to start meeting people and networking. I also have to look for a local agent to help me find properties. I'm excited to begin my RE Journey and I look forward to interacting with all of you!

@Benjamin Lin Welcome sir! Flipping is a great way to get started. As you build you might consider adding some buy & holds to your portfolio over time. In residential RE it's a good strategy to long term wealth. Also, I would definitely recommend you join a local REIA. Here's a brief list of some that I've been to or know the organizers.
