Hi BP community,

My name is Sawyer! I thought I would introduce myself to you peeps and say how excited I am to start my journey into the world of real estate.

I'm definitely a new investor as I only graduated from college a year ago and immediately dived into buying a house (of course a little naively and completely without my parents blessing haha). Although it took me 6 months to identify a house that made sense and pick up a home off Fannie Mae, it has been well worth it. I now live there for free by renting out two of the rooms and living in the third. The process to get there was far from easy but that is what I love about it, the challenge is exciting,  you learn a lot, and the rewards can be amazing...which is all why I fell in love with it all.

I'd love to hear from you guys & gals how you started off and what your experience has been (both good & bad) in your journey. I am from Cleveland, Ohio and am always game to meet up and chat if you are ever in the area.

Peace Out,

Sawyer

Hi Sawyer,

Welcome to BP!  Congrats on the purchase, and I wish I have the financial insight you are applying now when I was your age.  You are at the right location to find like minded people, and should have no problem being able to reach your RE investing goals.

There are countless stories both in the forms and BP blogs that outline this specific technique you have used to get started, and can help you get to the next level.  I have found in RE that you get a lot of success by following the successful crowd, instead of trying to defer from the proven and beaten path.

I would suggest that you soak up some of the many webinars that BP offers, get Brandon's book on investing and read Scott's book (if you have not already :) . Apply the ideas and be patient.  You will be glad you did.

I don't get to Ohio much, but if I every did, I would need to visit Canton and see that Hall of Fame!

Good luck, and invest wisely!
