Hello from Garden City, Michigan

Hi all, I'm currently in Garden City, but it looks like I will be moving to the Lansing area soon. I grew up mostly in the south (Army Brat), but landed in Michigan after my own stent in the Army. Currently, I am a Telecom Switch Tech. Other than owning my home, I have no experience in REI. I've been on BP for a few months, educating myself while putting together some capital. I found BP after reading The Book on Rental Property Investing. In general, my goal is to build passive income through rentals. However, my wife and I are kicking around thoughts of also starting a business through flips or property management. Currently, I am trying to decide if I should sell or rent out my home when move (I'll create another post in the near future with more details and some questions).
