Hello!   I am very excited to learn about real estate investing from those at BP!

I am 28 and for a day job I work as a Private Banking Portfolio Manager (underwriter) for a Bank (2 years in).  I have underwritten multiple Commercial Real Estate Portfolio loans (in addition to many personal unsecured / secured lines of credit, margin loans and small business loans) ... which has sparked my interest; why not slowly try and jump to the investor side?

I plan to learn how to analyze deals from the investor's point of view, my goal is to create a cash flow for one deal every weekend to develop an eye for what a good residential deal would look like, as well as read through others' cash flows on BP.  I'll pick a property currently for sale on Zillow / Redfin / etc. and run a cash flow and try and learn to identify the attractive deals from those that aren't, or at what price would I be willing to buy (either under or over list price). Cash flows are of course... my comfort zone, but that's only the tip of the iceberg.

I will DEFINITELY run into questions so I look forward to learning from the BP forum.  Saving up and hoping to begin with my first house hack between October 2017 and June 2018.  Currently on a month to month lease so I have flexibility to wait for a solid opportunity.

I hope to work with some of you in the future, and I will try to attend some Meetups in the Twin Cities!

Christine
