Reengaging after 10 year hiatus in Georgia (Cherokee County)
After about a 10 year absence I'm cranking it back up again. My name is Tom Burks from the Woodstock and Acworth area in Cherokee County, Georgia. I had started in the REI business in 2003 dealing mainly with manufactured (mobile) homes. Did some wholesaling and others I fixed and sold the notes. I had also flipped a town home in Marietta as well. I left the business in 2007 (without losing anything) and am revving it back up now. Waiting to close on a HELOC and will focus on SFR's.
My progression of goals is to wholesale a few homes to build additional cash reserves then move onto flipping. And then ultimately start acquiring some holds (including some multi-units) for cash flow.
At this point I'm looking to build my "team" and meet with local investors.
Great to be here!
Thanks,
Tom

@Tom Burks yes I believe you're talking about the Cartersville REIA with Bill Cook. He retired from that last Dec. It was a great meeting. Now the best one I've seen is meeting is at 2 Ravinia Drive Suite 105 Atlanta, GA 30346. It's on the last tue of each month. Run by @Jered Sturm. Free and no pitches. About 70-90 attendees each meeting. Very valuable.
