My name is Elbridge Barnard but you can call me Rick. I've been listening to the Bigger Pockets podcast for about a month now and I've learned a lot from both the hosts and guests. I currently only own one property (my single family residence) but I would like to start doing more investment work. I'm also interested in getting to know other members of the real estate investment community to learn from, collaborate, and possibly work with if it's a good fit. I've looked at the local investor event conversations. I will definitely make it a point to join some of these groups and I look forward to hopefully developing some relationships with other investors. Please see my profile for more specific details.

@Elbridge B. Hi Rick,

Decide which kind of investor you want to be (SFR, Commercial, Land, Tax Liens, HML, Multi-Family, Notes, Fix & Flip, Buy & Hold, "Subject To", apartments, duplexes, assisted living, REOs, Foreclosures, Short Sales), etc.. Decide how much money you have access to, & the zip codes, city or state you want to focus on. That will determine the next step. Outline where you want to be in five years. Put it all in writing. Start working your plan.
