New member from Canada - investing in the US Midwest

Hi everyone

I'm a new member. I found BP by searching on Google on various REI topics and came across this site. I started reading and I'm really impressed by the wealth of knowledge and it showed me how little I know!

I currently have 5 condos in Orlando and I'm looking to expand to other parts of the country.  I'm looking at the midwest right now as possible region (OH, KS, MO, IL).  Possibly start with Cleveland?

My plan is to start with multifamily residential properties, rehab if necessary, and rent out for cash flow income.  My priority now is on maximizing my monthly cash flows and of course there would have to be appreciation over time.

If this goes well, I'd like to look into BRRRR assuming there's a way for me to get financing in the US.

I would love to get some advice from the experts here on how to get started, building a team, how to hunt for deals, and referrals!
