Greetings! from Baltimore MD native interested in Wholesaling

Hello! Greetings! My name is Krystal Adeoye, a newlywed (March 2017) from Baltimore, MD. I've known about and have been a member of BP since 2014; recently coming back as an active user! My husband and I are interested in starting in real estate investing by wholesaling and also by purchasing a multi-family (i.e duplex, triplex) property to live-in and rent the the other unit(s). Those are two of our immediate goals we want to focus on. We are completely new to real estate investing, looking to learn and network. Also, we're interested in a local real estate investing meetup group. Does anyone know of good ones in the Baltimore area?

Question: How do I find out about the laws concerning wholesaling in Maryland? Is it legal? Want to ensure we're doing the right thing.
