Dallas-Fort Worth, TX Brand New to Real Estate

Hello BiggerPockets Community.  My name is Joy and I live in Dallas, TX.  A local flipper suggested I join, and read, and read, and read, to learn as much as I can.  I'm currently on information overload, but thank you all for sharing so much.  LOL  What an incredible blessing to have such resources! Thank you Joshua Dorkin.

About me, I am currently unemployed so I have more than enough time to learn!  I'm looking to network with people in my area to learn as much about flipping houses as I can sponge up.  You hear those stories of people starting their business in their garage with 3 employees.  Well, you can't start your flips from your garage so my start-up version of that is to do as much of the remodel myself until I have enough cash flow to hire it out.

I'm a major DIY'er so I've learned how to do many remodel type things, like ceramic tile, ceiling fan installation, minor electrical projects like fixture/plug replacements, small plumbing repairs, professional painting/caulking, and most recently brick repair and fence repair in a not-so-square portion of the fence.  I know it's so cliche, but I like to consider myself a Joy of all trades, master of many, but not all. Only problem is, I need to start generating income again first so I have money to invest in my first property.  That being said, my goal is to start out bird dogging for referral fees.
