Hi Everybody,

Having recently moved to Dallas with my wife and dog from Australia via Argentina, Have been interested in real estate investing for a few years now. Have one rental in an affluent suburb in Melbourne Australia that pays for it self, and recently sold an apartment for a tidy profit of over 100k after holding for 5 years. The market in Australia is crazy and almost impossible to even think about buy and flips, but I have been researching quiet a bit and found there to be some opportunties here in DFW. I am a qualified Carpenter/Builder with over 16 years experience in high end renovations/new builds and commercial project managment so would be doing most of the work myself with the help of a few good sub contractors.

Just wanted to say hello and hope that some of you can steer me in the right direction, Any advice is good advice in my eyes and would love to hear some feedback and maybe even some stories on successfull flips and some not so successfull.

Thanks everybody, I have been very impressed with the Bigger Pockets community and look forward to being more involved.
