Ready to Start Investing

Hello all,

My name is Tim and I am a recent graduate from the University of Georgia. I have known that I wanted to invest in Real Estate since I was a sophomore in college. I was a Real Estate major and am working full time as a Lead Generator for a Retail Leasing company in Atlanta. I currently live in McDonough, GA, which is about 30 miles southeast of Atlanta.

I have known my short term and long term real estate goals and strategies for a while. In the short term, I am looking to begin my investing career by "house hacking," preferably looking for a duplex or triplex in either Decatur or a northern suburb (Sandy Springs, Roswell, etc.). I am in no rush, however, as I live with my parents and am not paying rent. I want to wait for the right deal. From there, I am hoping to build my real estate portfolio by investing in single family homes, duplexes, triplexes, and/or quadraplexes in the Atlanta area. My hope is to utilize the "BRRRR" strategy, as I feel this gives me the best chance of success.

For fellow Bigger Pocketers and Atlantians, I am looking for tips, advice, meetings, and suggestions for investor-friendly agents and contractors. Thanks to all in advance!

Great plan! That's how I got started.  What's your budget for your first investment?  I've got one for sale in Decatur that might work for you.
