Nashville, TN - 1 Deal Done - Need to Network
Hello everyone,
I am new to BiggerPockets and am full time computer programmer in the Nashville, TN area. My goal is to build my wealth of knowledge, network and grow in rental assets. Last year, I convinced my investor family member to go in on a property with me. It was a house and commercial property on 5 acres. Had both occupied and rent coming in starting the first month.
The agent I had actually had people calling that couldn't purchase the daycare wishing to lease the property and the agent also had a friend that needed a house. After vetting both and looking at their financials it was an easy victory. However, I know that is not the norm and am hoping to increase my wealth with rental properties.
I have a total of $750,000 to invest and I do not know where to begin or how to go about it and hope through this website, I can meet some folks and grow my knowledge.
Thank you for taking the time.
Adam

Good luck Adam. I would advise to refrain from advertising how much money you have to invest. Lots of sharks come out when they see that.
I am a Nashville investor myself. One advantage that you have is that you were local. Unless you have a specific mandate where you need to invest that money and some short amount of time, you should be able to find some good deals by working with local wholesalers but it will take time. As you know the market down there is pretty hot right now.
But for example I recently closed on a very nice duplex in Donelson for $180K which rents for $2150 a month.
