Hello, my name is Shawn, I am from Evansville Indiana and I have lived here my entire life. I currently have a full time job that is not related to real estate. I bought a duplex when I was 25 and lived in it for about 2 years before buying another house(not a rental). I just recently bought another rental property (single family) that I have fixed up and rented. I managed the duplex until about 2 years ago, but have since let a local management company handle the properties. My goal has always been to acquire buy and hold rentals to setup a good retirement, but now that I have been reading BiggerPockets, I would like to see how far I can take it. I am currently trying to work out a deal on some more duplexes and am trying to learn the correct way to do the entire process (from deal analysis, setting up the deal, LLC or not, etc…..). I am new still to the whole real estate business and have learned more reading bigger pockets for the last month then I ever knew beforehand. I really do want to thank all the people on here for posting the very helpful information that is available. Hopefully, I will be able to contribute in the years to come.
