New to Lexington/North Augusta (revised)

Greetings all, I have been looking to take the dive and looking for property in Lexington, SC or North Augusta (I live in the middle of the two). I have researched section 8 housing in the rural areas and do not want to go that path. I use to work on historic houses years ago. I eventually want to build a portfolio of rentals with occasional flips.
