Hello from the San Francisco Bay Area!
Hey folks,
My name is Christina and I live in lovely Alameda, CA. My husband and I are interested in exploring real estate investing, with the goal that some extra monthly income would allow us more free time with our two adorable young sons.
Our limited experience with real estate comes from having purchased a condo several years ago, which we then sold and upgraded to a single family home where we've lived for the past year.
For starters, we are just getting into the basics. After that, we live in a very high cost of living area and would like to learn about the pros and cons of owning properties in a different city or state.
For now, we are more interested in single family rentals or small multi-family rentals, rather than flipping.
I'm a subscriber over at r/personalfinance and r/financialindependence, which is how I wound up here. The narwhal bacons at midnight, who's with me?
Looking forward to virtually meeting all of you and getting going on this new journey!

Hello and welcome!
Now is a great time to start investing! Do you know what markets you might be looking into? If you look outside of CA, I would also suggest looking into turnkeys. They should allow all of the work to be done for you, including management. Feel free to send me a message with any questions.
Good luck!
