A new member from Israel!

Hello biggerpockets community.

I am from Israel, 18 years old and I'll be joining the army in under a month (we are obligated to 32 months of service, by law). Although I won't be able to actually start investing before the end of 2019, I believe it's never too early to start educating yourself. Meanwhile I'm saving as much money as I can for a good head start (most of it is invested in the stock markets, in low risk low revenue stocks).

I set 2 goals for myself, which are-

1) Ensure financial security for my future family,

2) Do everything I can to bring peace to the middle east and the whole world. I believe peace is within reach in this generation, due to many reasons, biggest one is the internet and the ability to communicate with people who are supposed to be your "enemies".

I want to thank all of you for giving such valuable information and help to everyone who's willing to read, and I hope to learn as much as I can from all of you. Hoping to perhaps some day be a useful member and give back to those who thought me a lot.

On a finishing note, I wanted to ask -

Do you think real-estate investing is possible everywhere? Do you think different places have more possibilities in them than others? 

I wish all of a you a very successful 2017, and I hope you will reach your goals and become a better you.

Hi llan,

Way to go that you are thinking so far ahead at such an early age.  My wife and I moved from Israel four years ago to find financial independence, especially through real estate investing.  Real Estate investment is possible everywhere, but it is definitely harder in Israel.  I think there is a bubble in the Israeli real estate market. In any case, the most important thing is to work hard and not give up!
