Aloha! (Newbie Introduction)

Aloha from Hawaii!

I'm Tee and I currently live on the island of Oahu. This is the first time I've joined a community forum like this and I am quite pleased with the diverse community members and level of engagement with one another.

I have very little to no experience in real estate investment, but would like to learn more about obtaining a first-time real estate property to establish a passive source of income.

Not sure where or how to start so any pointers for resources, books or contacts would be most appreciated.

Thank you!

Aloha Tee,

Welcome. You came to the right place. There are a lot of resources that you can tap into to get you started.  You can check out blogs https://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/ . Listen to podcast here : https://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/category/podcast/ . Or even check out nearby members and networks in Hawai'i here> https://www.biggerpockets.com/meet, it will help you a lot to find partners that can help you out in investing.  The best thing is building a team and relationships, it will go a long way.  @Jasmine C. has an upcoming gathering this Tuesday, last one before year end.

I just started not too long ago and have read, listened and learned a lot.

Anyway, I wish you the best and happy investing.
